Fitness boost ahead of Town clash

Winger David Bell is back in contention having initially been ruled out of the clash due to illness and an ankle problem, although it is unlikely he will has the fitness levels to finish the game should he start. Left-back Patrick van Aanholt arrived on loan from Chelsea on Friday and Coleman has no concerns about throwing him straight in, while fellow summer signings Sammy Clingan and Michael McIndoe are also expected to make their competitive debuts. Coleman said: "It's funny really, all pre-season we've struggled for bodies, we get signings in and two days before the start of the season we've got 18 outfield players fit and raring to go. It's good timing." Defender Elliott Ward and striker Leon McKenzie have both returned to training but are lacking match fitness and will miss out. Centre-back James McPake will also be missing due to the dislocated shoulder he sustained in pre-season, while back-up goalkeeper Danny Ireland will sit out as he recovers from emergency bowel surgery. The match kicks off at 12.45pm.
