Fisher Slammed At Fans Forum

Fans Forum Short Report

Current Coventry City CEO Tim Fisher maintained tonight at the CCFC Fans Forum that the club is not for sale.

Fisher, was jeered, mocked and scorned throughout and told by some of the very disgruntled City support in no uncertain terms to get out of the club at the Forum at the Holiday Inn,

Supporters and Stewards time and time again, made it clear to Mr Fisher, who drew huge laughs when he announced that the accounts had been a mess, that they would not be travelling to Walsall or any venue outside of Coventry for the next three years.

Fisher, who said nothing all evening that was not already in the public domain, was joined by Arthur Lowe lookalike Steve Brookfield, the club's accountant for the past year, basically listened to what the supporters were saying before telling the audience and those listening on BBC Coventry & Warwickshire that the club must be run as a sustainable business and that the sooner the club comes out of administration the better before unleashing his rethoric that Holdings are in charge in his opinion,ACL will only deal with the Administrator not me and if SISU see a new stadium as their only course of action then this is the what they will do.

He claimed that Football League rules meant that whilst in administration, City could not say where they would groundshare but did say that three West Midlands Clubs had been spoken to and that the club were working with the Football League or sell season tickets, which he said would be heavily discounted.

By the end, It was clear that there were more questions than answers and Mr Fisher had failed to pacify or win over the the City supporters who attended.and the concern for the future of Coventry City Football Club remains the biggest ever in its history.
