Tim Fisher Thanks His Staff

Coventry City CEO Tim Fisher has paid tribute to the club's office and commercial staff.

Writing in his programme notes for the game against Notts County, Mr Fisher said: "It's an absolute credit to Steven Pressley, his staff and the players the way that they have turned around the ten point deduction and are now on the cusp of a place in the top half of the table just over a quarter of a way into the season.

"Equally, however, great credit has to go to the office and commercial staff who have shown a similar mentality. The team off the pitch have been working tirelessly to ensure the club functions properly under what have been incredibly trying circumstances for them.

"They have been at the sharp end when dealing with the understandable frustrations of our supporters during a very difficult period for the club.

"But their determination in continuing 'normal' service when it comes to commercial activities and community activities has been nothing short of extraordinary. To a person, the staff have been resourceful and solutions driven. No challenge has been too great.

"The club is now operating at its leanest following a complete operational restructure which began after relegation from the Championship and has continued since. The aim is simply to get the maximum operational return for every penny we spend.

"Ultimately, being a lean operation means that maximum effort is focussed on channelling all the resources we can to Steven and his staff to give them the best possible chance of success.

"Of course, our revenue streams are very limited and normal service as I put it earlier, will only commence when we have our own stadium and have access to all the income that it can generate for the football club.

"However, the restructuring bodes well for the future and puts us in a stronger position to take full advantage of increased revenues where it matters most - on the pitch.

"But until that happens, we are strong in our resolve to do all we can to support Steven because it is becoming abundantly clear what a fine young manager and leader he is."
