City Boss Impressed With Young Defender

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley was pleased with the performance of makeshift defender Jack Finch.

Normally, a midfielder, Finch who put in some excellent performances for City U18's last season, played the whole game at Nuneaton Town on Saturday along side Jordan Clarke due to City having no regular centre  halves fit enough to play.

Pressley told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner and Alan Poole: “I thought there were some really good performances and I have to mention Jack for his performance, for 16 years of age I thought he was outstanding.

“He’s not a natural centre-half but I thought that considering he’s just come into the building as a first year professional he was outstanding. He handled the occasion very well which is really encouraging, and I thought Jordan Clarke was excellent too and looks very motivated and focused.
