Hussey wants more game time Coventry City defender Chris Hussey has said that every game he plays gives him more confidence. The Londoner was one of the stars of City's pre-season and although he missed the final game against West Brom, he is now fit and raring to go.Speaking to the CT, Hussey said:" I am hoping this season will be better than last season for me and that I can play a lot more games. "It was frustrating because I didn't play as many games as I wanted to last year but I have learned from that because I don't think I was ready last season. I was learning a lot from Steve Harrison and that has hopefully set me in good stead for this year and hopefully this season I can show that with more games."I did a lot of positional work, opening my shoulders up , just little bits really and hopefully they will all come together and I can show what I can do. Everyone wants to play every game but my chances were limited and hopefully that will improve."There is competition all over the pitch. The gaffer has brought in a few players, including Stephen O'Halloran as a left back, so it looks like it is between me and him but competition is healthy."Everyone wants to start the season but there are only eleven places up for grabs so you do what you can in pre-season to impress. "I know the gaffer likes me and it is up to me to live up to expectations by putting in good performances. I have got a bit more confidence now because last year was a bit of a low point with not playing many games for Coventry. "But I think I have done ok in the games so far and every game I play is giving me confidence and hopefully I can take that into the new season."Picture copyright of Covsupport News Service.
