Thorn: He will score goals.especially the way we are going to play.

According to Coventry City manager, Stephen Elliott is out to prove a point and that point is he has been under rated and that he can and will score goals.

The 28 year old striker had a reasonable good record when he was at Sunderland, but has recently failed to be as prolific. During his time at Sunderland he netted 22 times in 81 appearances At Hearts he scored 11 goals in 56 games, but his record at Preston and Wolves was not to good.

Elliott was Thorn's first signing of the new campaign, but the City boss has been frustrated at missing out on several players partly because of the transfer embargo, now lifted and partly because of financial considerations.

Thorn is an admirer of Fleck and is delighted to have his services.   Thorn told the CT, “He’s really quick, runs in behind and stretches teams. He’s a threat off the shoulder and he will score goals in this league, especially the way we are going to play.

“He’s had some big moves in his time and he’s like everyone else we take, they will be hungry with a point to prove. He certainly wants to prove a point and wants to score goals and will fit in well with what we want to do.”
