Eastwood targets good pre-season

The Wales forward moved to Wolves in July 2007 before making the switch to the Ricoh Arena in July 2008 meaning, combined with injury problems, the 25-year-old has struggled to get a complete pre-season under his belt for two years. But nothing is holding him back this time around and Eastwood is hoping to hit the ground running by the time Ipswich come to town on August 9. He told the Coventry Telegraph: "I have been injured on and off during the last couple of pre-seasons as well as joining Wolves and Coventry later in the pre-season. "But I have started with everyone else this year and I am hoping that will make a big difference, to get a proper one under my belt for the first time in a while. "I feel mentally fresh and raring to go and I can't wait to kick a ball in anger and start putting it in the back of the net. The lads were disappointed with the way last season finished and we know things can only get better, and we are all determined to finish higher up the table this year."
