Duo To Ride To Blaze And City Matches
Charity Bike Ride details Myself and Phil Kirkham are a pair of Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey fans embarking on a year-long sponsored cycle to every Elite League rink.We are aiming to cycle to Dundee, Edinburgh, Braehead/Glasgow, Fife, Belfast, Hull, Sheffield and Cardiff, starting with Nottingham tomorrow (Wednesday) over the course of this season to coincide with Coventry Blaze road games. We also want to cover some Coventry City games too if the time allows us to.Phil will be riding in aid of Motornuerone disease. This is due to his close friend and colleague passing away recently with the condition. I will be riding in aid of The Meningitis Research Foundation. This is due to my girlfriend, Laura passing away a few years ago on her 17th Birthday with the disease and her sister, Rebbeca (24) also passing away this time last year with the same condition.We aim to raise a considerable amount of money for these fantastic causes that help so many people and would appreciate any support the fans of our local teams and the Coventry community can offer us. This can be in donations or by simply getting the word out about what we aim to achieve.In addition to public support if your business would like to help our great cause, any help will be appreciated. I have been in contact with both local & national press and media who are willing to give us exposure. Any companies that help us will also get exposure in these articles.
