Coventry have confirmed director Ken Dulieu will take over from Ray Ranson as chairman of the npower Championship strugglers. Ranson, 50, has been executive chairman since SISU took control in December 2007, saving the club from administration, and will now assist Dulieu on football matters in his new role of Football Consultant. Ranson has overseen a turbulent few months at the Ricoh Arena, with his close friend Gary Hoffman standing down as vice-chairman and Joe Elliot being moved across to life president. Dulieu, who joined the board in November 2010 and is a former chairman of Southampton, said: "I am delighted to be invited to become chairman of Coventry City, a club which has a proud pedigree in football with an excellent stadium and loyal fan base. "We are delighted Ray has elected to focus all his energies and considerable football experience as football consultant to help ensure we retain our Championship status. "Ray and I have an excellent personal relationship and we very much complement each other in our respective working roles within the club and I look forward to working with him in the future."
