Former City striker wanted Former Coventry City striker Kevin Kyle has emerged as the number one summer target for Aberdeen boss Mark McGhee. Kyle's contract with Kilmarnock expires in the summer and McGhee is keen to sign the striker. He tried unsuccessfully to sign  him in January. McGhee told  BBC Sport, "We need a bigger squad as we cannot go with the numbers we have. We need to strengthen certain positions which are vital to us. We need to have suitable replacements if something goes wrong and we lose players to long-term injury - as was the case with Andrew Considine." "We are looking for a centre forward who can hold the ball up and play alongside Darren Mackie, Michael Paton, Chris Maguire, or whoever." Kyle left Coventry after an unhappy and unsuccessful spell in 2009 and Joined Scottish side Kilmarnock where he has restarted his career
