Coventry City manager Andy Thorn was disappointed not to have beat Doncaster Rovers on Saturday afternoon.

Speaking to the Press Association after the 1-1 draw which dropped City to third from bottom of the Championship table, Thorn said: "Sammy's goal was worthy of winning any game. I'll take the point but I'm disappointed it wasn't three.

"We had a lot of possession and missed three great chances at the end. If we had picked the right pass each time we would have come away winning the game."

Coventry have yet to win away this season and Thorn added: "We allowed them a sloppy equaliser.

"It was a poor goal to give away from our point of view.

"But we kept going for it at the end and that was pleasing. Unfortunately it just wasn't to be."
