Gillingham boss Martin Allen thought that his side's 2-1 defeat to Coventry City was hard to take.
Allen incurred the wrath of the City support for twice doing his best to waste time, whilst stood in his technical area, told his club's website: “It was hard to take, the players put in a fantastic performance and we had a game plan to set out and frustrate them.
"We conceded a goal in the first minute after giving the ball away but after that there were numerous opportunities for us to score.
"We restricted them to very few chances and overall I thought it was a good performance and if they keep playing like that we will be alright.”
