Thorn has continually said how pleased he is with the duo and told Sky Blue Player: "The boys have been excellent and the young ones have grown in stature as well. You're watching them in training now, and you forget because of the standard they are at at the moment just how young they are. "They are in the team on merit, and they're not coming out because they are young. They are in there because they deserve to be playing. At the start of the season when they went in people said it was a gamble, and possibly it was. In fairness I had no other options and that was the route I went down. They have nailed places down for themselves now, and it's up to people to shift them. "We knew they had the ability but to see how well and how quickly they have settled in is a nice surprise."
