Cup Game At Morecambe Will Be The First
City's game the first at the Globe Coventry City's League Cup 1st Round tie at Morecambe FC will be the first match to be played at the new Globe Arena.Morecambe have had to postpone pre-season matches against Bolton, Preston and Manchester City as well as a planned open weekend as the stadium constructor has said the planned hand-over date of July 24th is not possible.A new date of August 6th has been announced, meaning that the first game will be for the visit of Coventry City on Tuesday August 10th with the first league game against Rotherham United four days later.Ticket details for the game are expected to be announced shortly. City have already said that they will have a limited number of unreserved seats which they will to away season ticket holders and season ticket holders first. Terracing will also be available.
