Delfouneso set for Sky Blues bow

Nathan Delfouneso is set to make his Coventry debut at home to midlands neighbours Walsall.

The striker signed a loan deal with the Sky Blues from Aston Villa on Thursday which runs until the end of the season and he will hope to make a flying start to life in League One.

His arrival comes with Coventry having lost the services of 18-goal leading scorer Leon Clarke to Wolves for an undisclosed fee while 15-goal frontman Callum Wilson continues to sit out nursing a long-term shoulder injury.

James Chambers will be assessed ahead of Walsall's short trip.

The defender was forced off in the second half of Tuesday's 1-1 draw against Swindon nursing a hamstring injury and will be given as long as possible to prove his fitness.

Andy Taylor continues to miss out having been sidelined for the club's last two matches with a knee problem.

The sixth-placed Saddlers, who are currently 12 points clear of Coventry, go into the game looking to extend their seven-match unbeaten run.
