Kilbane faces race against time Coventry will assess Kevin Kilbane ahead of their home clash against MK Dons. The experienced midfielder has missed the last two games having felt his hamstring go in training. Although there was no strain, he has been undergoing strengthening work to avoid a long-term absence. Steve Jennings continues to miss out with the hip/thigh problem, which has also seen him absent in the last couple of matches. The midfielder faces a further week or two on the sidelines. Manager Mark Robins admitted after Saturday's 1-0 win at Oldham - the club's long-awaited first in the league this term - that some of his players were nursing cuts and bruises and they will be assessed, including full-back Jordan Clarke, who was forced off late on. Gary MacKenzie remains a doubt for MK Dons. MacKenzie has missed the last three matches with a groin injury and the centre-half will continue to be monitored. Jon Otsemobor returned to the squad after illness against Crewe on Saturday and the full-back will be hoping for a recall to the starting line-up at the Ricoh Arena. West Brom midfielder Scott Allan made his Dons debut as a 71st-minute substitute during the 1-0 home win over Alex just hours after completing his month-long loan switch, and he will be another pushing for a starting role in the Midlands. Alan Smith, Ryan Lowe and Daniel Powell provide further options for Karl Robinson. But the Dons boss saw his squad depleted further on Monday by the retirement of midfielder Jimmy Bullard.
