Maddison looks set to miss out

James Maddison is unlikely to feature for Coventry against Leyton Orient despite making his comeback for the under-21s.

The midfielder played for an hour in the 1-0 win over Ipswich on Monday, impressing boss Tony Mowbray, but Wednesday's game will come too soon after three months out with a back problem.

Marcus Tudgay is a major doubt with a hamstring problem while Reda Johnson is also out with a muscle tear but is edging towards a return and Mowbray wants him fully fit before he will be considered.

Striker Simeon Jackson is set to miss out after coming on as a second-half substitute in Canada's 3-0 win over Puerto Rico on Tuesday.

Orient are still without Jobi McAnuff and Ryan Hedges, who are on international duty.

Midfielder McAnuff has linked up with the Jamaica squad and on-loan Swansea winger Hedges is away with Wales' Under-21s.

Lloyd James made a welcome return as a late substitute in Saturday's 3-1 win against Port Vale for his first appearance since suffering a broken leg in September and could be involved again.

Fellow midfielder Romain Vincelot remains sidelined by a knee injury and goalkeeper Adam Legzdins is also out with a shoulder problem.
