Clarke concern for Sky Blues

Jordan Clarke is a doubt for Coventry's FA Cup second-round replay against Hartlepool at Sixfields.

The defender, who has featured in every minute of every game for City so far this season, sustained an ankle injury in the closing stages of Saturday's 2-2 draw against Crewe and will be assessed.

On-loan forwards Chris Dagnall and Chris Maguire will once again be ineligible for the cup tie having both been denied permission to feature in the initial 1-1 draw by respective parent clubs Barnsley and Sheffield Wednesday.

Defender Jordan Willis (knee) remains sidelined.

Hartlepool manager Colin Cooper has no fresh injury concerns.

Cooper is still without Jordan Richards as he recovers from a double hernia operation, while Dan Jones is still struggling to overcome an ankle injury.

Jonathan Franks started up front at Cheltenham on Saturday and took his opportunity with both hands, scoring twice as Pools came from behind to draw.

Franks faces pressure for his place from James Poole and Luke James, regular starters who were rested at the weekend.

The winners will set up a third-round clash at Barnsley.
