Clarke concern for Coventry

Leon Clarke is doubtful for Coventry's home clash against Crawley on Sunday but Conor Thomas and Jordan Clarke are expected to be in contention.

Leading scorer Clarke, with 18 goals to his name this term, has sustained a groin injury in training and faces a race against time - with 15-goal strike partner Callum Wilson already ruled out for over two months with a dislocated shoulder.

Midfielder Thomas missed last weekend's FA Cup victory at Barnsley having suffered severe concussion in the New Year's Day win over Rotherham.

Defender Clarke, meanwhile, sat out of the entire festive period with an ankle injury, but both should be in the frame.

Matt Tubbs will be added to the Crawley squad at Sixfields.

The popular striker, whose goals fired Town to promotion to the Football League in 2011, re-signed for the club on loan from Bournemouth earlier this week but was cup-tied for the FA Cup defeat by Bristol Rovers on Wednesday.

Fellow forward Billy Clarke completes a three-match ban and midfielder Dannie Bulman remains sidelined with a fractured cheekbone.

But boss John Gregory has no new injury problems and could hand a recall to captain Josh Simpson, who was on the bench in midweek having recovered from a hamstring problem.
