Baker set for attacking role

Nathan Delfouneso may miss Coventry's home clash against Bradford, which could force boss Steven Pressley to use Carl Baker as an emergency striker.

Delfouneso is struggling with a thigh injury and faces a race against time to prove his fitness prior to the encounter at Sixfields, kick-off 2pm.

Midfielder Mark Marshall (hamstring) is likely to sit out again having missed last weekend's 3-0 defeat at Notts County. Striker Callum Wilson remains sidelined with his shoulder injury.

Pressley is sure to be considering changes following last Saturday's convincing reverse, with the likes of Dylan McGeouch, John Fleck, Jordan Clarke and Jordan Willis pushing for recalls.

Bradford striker Aaron Mclean is hoping to shake off illness.

The former Hull forward played the full 90 minutes in the midweek defeat at Carlisle but has since been struggling with a virus and remains doubtful.

Manager Phil Parkinson will monitor several other players who sustained knocks at Brunton Park, yet he has no major new selection issues as his side chase their first win in 14 matches.

Nathan Doyle is pushing for a recall having returned to the bench following suspension on Tuesday night, although fellow midfielder Kyel Reid (knee) and defender James Meredith (foot) remain long-term absentees.
