Boothroyd set to chase unsettled Colchester' Tierney According to the latest gossip doing the rounds, Aidy Boothroyd is set to raid his former club again and try to sign their unsettled left back Marc Tierney in the January transfer window. The 25 year old left sided defender has not signed a new contract with Colchester and will be able to leave the club in the summer for free, So they may be willing to let the player leave for a nominal sum in January rather than letting him leave for nothing at the end of the season. Coventry City and Norwich City are thought to be leading the chase for the player who has made 74 league and cup appearances for Colchester. He has also played for Oldham, Carlisle and Shrewsbury. Coventry City have two recognised left backs, O'Halloran and Hussey, both out injured at the moment and are using central defenders Richard Wood and Martin Cranie as cover.
