Coventry target in demand

City face intense competition Gary Hooper of Scunthorpe United is a popular man at the moment and is thought to be a summer target for several club including Coventry City. Scunthorpe boss Nigel Adkins has stated that he wants to keep his prized striker at Glandford Park, but the interest in the 22 year old prolific hit man may mean he will lose him to one of the chasing pack. City boss Chris Coleman has been tracking the striker all season, but face competition from Ipswich and Derby of the Championship, Wolves and Wigan of the Premiership and Celtic of the SPL. It is little wonder that Hooper s attracting interest. He has bagged an impressive 43 goals in 79 appearances for The Iron since he joined them for £125,000 in 2008 from Southend. If Coventry City try to sign Gary Hopper the interest in the striker is likely to push the fee to around £2m.
