Coventry hit back to beat 10-man Millwall

Coventry staged a second-half comeback against 10-man Millwall to record a 2-1 victory.

MIllwall had looked set to boost their promotion hopes when they took the lead through Byron Webster in the 20th minute, but Shaun Williams' sending-off just six minutes later ultimately cost them dear.

And the home side, who have been freefalling down the Sky Bet League One table, came back to take the points courtesy of goals from John Fleck and Marcus Tudgay.

The Londoners had been in full control when they took the lead. Shane Ferguson placed the ball well outside the quadrant but it went unseen and when he swung in the corner, Webster rose highest and powered a header past Reice Charles-Cook.

But just six minutes later, their task became that much harder when Williams appeared to headbutt Ruben Lameiras and was red carded.

It took time for Coventry to make their man advantage count but Fleck set them on their way with a superb 30-yard curling shot in the 61st minute.

And then, nine minutes later, Millwall goalkeeper Jordan Archer let the ball run thinking it was going out, but substitute Tudgay poked out a leg and pushed the ball into the net.
