Rampant Robins go top
Andy Williams' double fired Swindon back to the top of Sky Bet League One as they cruised past Coventry 3-0.
The forward struck twice inside the first 18 minutes in front of Coventry's lowest crowd since they returned to the Ricoh in September.
Just 7,098 watched as the Robins edged ahead of Bristol City on goal difference, easily brushing aside the lethargic Sky Blues.
Jonathan Obika rounded off a deserved win late on, a victory which was rarely in doubt despite Conor Thomas' glaring miss for the hosts.
Coventry, who made three changes as Gary Madine, Aaron Martin and Andrew Webster returned, did force Wes Foderingham into an early save when he gathered Simeon Jackson's header.
But then it was all Swindon as they patiently waited for an opening which easily came after eight minutes.
A neat build-up found Harry Toffolo on the left and his delicious cross was powered in by Williams from seven yards.
And on 18 minutes it got worse when Frank Nouble - who was fortunate to avoid a red card - bundled Louis Thompson over in the box and Williams sent Ryan Allsop the wrong way from the spot.
The striker could have completed his hat-trick four minutes later but fired inches wide from the edge of the box.
The Robins were dominant, with Coventry relying on fleeting breaks, but could not force a third before the break.
And the hosts should have pulled a goal back two minutes after the re-start when Thomas missed a sitter.
Nouble's teasing cross found the defender free at the far post but he mistimed his three-yard header horribly and Foderingham saved.
It at least roused the Sky Blues as they marginally improved following a dire first half.
The Robins - who have failed to score just twice in the league this season - were happy to sit on their lead though.
But substitute Obika, who had been on just 46 seconds, bagged a third with nine minutes left when he rounded Allsop to score from a tight angle and wrap up a seventh win in nine games.
