Coventry held to goalless draw by Swindon

Coventry missed out on the chance to move back into the top six in Sky Bet League One as they were held 0-0 at home by Swindon.

Andy Rose had the ball in the net for the hosts six minutes before the break but it was ruled out for offside before Jonathan Obika missed a sitter at the other end right on half-time.

Obika and his strike partner had already spurned a couple of half-chances but when the ball dropped to him inside the six-yard box he somehow shot wide.

Coventry introduced Jacob Murphy and James Maddison as substitutes midway through the period and they added an extra spark to the Sky Blues' attack.

But Reice Charles-Cook in the Coventry goal was the busier of the two keepers.

He made a good save from Jamie Sendles-White and then plucked a curling effort from Obika out of the air to keep the scores level.

Coventry started to push for a winner but sub Darius Henderson's fierce volley was pushed over the bar by Tyrell Belford in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
