Coventry City Ladies forward Courtney Sweetman-Kirk picked up a gold medal as Great Britain Universities U23's team beat Mexico 6-2 in the final of the World University Games Womens Football Tournament in Kazan.

Monica Monisivais put Mexico ahead in the tenth minute before Naomi Cole levelled in the 18th minute.

Parity was restored for seven minutes when Veronica Corral fired Mexico back in front but ten minutes before the half ended.

Sweetman-Kirk was replaced in the 58th minute before Britain went 3-2 up through Francesca Kirby, 4-2 through Aileen Whelan, who had replaced the City forward in the 86th minute,  

Kirby added her second in the 88th minute and in the first minute of time added on, a tremendous victory was completed when Danielle Carter-Loblack scored to give Britaina 6-2 win.
