County Cup Trip For City Ladies
City Ladies to face Knowle in County Cup Coventry City Ladies begin their defence of the Birmingham FA Women’s County Cup against Knowle tomorrow. Knowle play in the West Midlands Women's Division 1 South – the 5th tier of women’s football in the country – and are currently in 5th place, winning two of their seven league games this season. They defeated Redditch 7-0 in the first round of the County Cup last month, and will be looking to claim the biggest scalp in the club’s history this weekend. The Sky Blues defeated Kingshurst Sporting Club, Solihull Borough, Leafield Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers and then rivals Aston Villa, en route to clinching the cup for the first time last season. The Second Round tie will take place at Hampton Lane, and will kick off at 2pm.
