Cork To Use Euro Championships As A Shop Window

City old boy news Former Coventry City loanee Jack Cork has said that he is using the Euro U21 Championship in Denmark as a shop window to try and get himself a permanent deal with a club. Cork has been on Chelsea's books but has been loaned out including spells at the Ricoh Arena and Burnley where he was last season. Cork is quoted by The People as saying: “I’d still like to speak to Chelsea and see what the new manager is saying – but after five years going on loan it’s probably time to get out. “The situation at Chelsea is understandable because you’ve got so many good players, but it’s getting to the stage where I’m a bit old to be the reserve player or the youngster breaking through. “I’ve loved going out on loan. It has given me experiences I could never have had if I’d just been sitting in the reserves, but now I want to be settled in a team I can call my own. “I want to feel the consequences of defeat, and what it means to win in my own team.”
