Hartlepool United manager Colin Cooper was disappointed with the referee Keith Hill for the goals which saw his side beaten 2-1 by Coventry City.

Cooper told Pools Player: "It’s only disappointing because I think the officials have let them put the ball in our box with the last kick of the game.

“I said to him after the game that I hope he’s 100% positive that Leon Clarke was onside for the first one and that it was a foul for the second and he said he was and that’s why he made those decisions so I can only accept that.

“I knew we would give them a game, we can give anyone a game.

“It’s a case of where they are in League One and how they play, they do play some nice football and they have two strikers who have 22/23 goals between them. They have an awful lot of quality and Steven (Pressley) should be very proud of his side".
