Platt on competition

Coventry City forward Clive Platt feels that that competition for places is good in the team.

Andy Thorn has a number of options he can use with Platt, Jutkiewicz, O’Donovan, Eastwood who is still on the books, Cody McDonald, Shaun Jeffers and Jonson Clarke-Harris all possibilities to play in the front two.

Speaking to Sky Blue Player, Platt said: "I think it benefits the team really as we all have to compete for the positions. Early on in the season, there was a few people out but now they have come back.

"Cody is doing well, scoring goals in training every day. Freddy (Eastwood) is also doing that and working hard to get fit so there is a lot of options there.

"These are good problems for the gaffer to have."
