Clarke appointed to Coventry board

Coventry have made a signing of sorts on January deadline day with the addition of John Clarke to the club's board of directors. Clarke, a local businessman, has been an associate director of the Sky Blues for the past four years but has now become a full board director. The lifelong City fan was previously a board director of the club in 1992-93 and was also vice-president and an associate director between 1987 and 1992. On the pitch, all eyes are focused in the direction of Keiren Westwood as the transfer window closes at 11pm, with much speculation as to whether a Premier League club will come in for the goalkeeper's services. Newcastle, Everton and Wigan have all been heavily linked with Westwood, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
