City have worst goals per shots stat According to a state thrown up by the BBC, Coventry City have the worst shots per goal ratio in the Championship. The Sky Blues this season are averaging a goal every 11.19 attempts, which is a ratio that the BBC say is the worst in the division. To City watchers who have seen the team slump to eleventh in the Championship table and have not won a League match since December 4th, it is no surprise .Last Saturday, Aidy Boothroyd's sides had 21 shots on goal against Sheffield United but failed to score and it has been the same in other matches where City have created plenty of chances but the likes of King, Platt, McSheffrey, Jutkiewicz, Carsley, Gunnarsson, Eastwood, Baker and Bell have not stuck them in the back of the net. Some City supporters have called for a striker capable of getting the goals to be brought in before the transfer window closes but City boss Aidy Boothroyd is keeping faith with his current strikers and told the BBC: "In terms of goalscorers, I think I have the most potential goalscorers we have had here for a very long time. "Nobody can tell me that the likes of King, Platt, Jutkiewicz and McSheffrey won't score goals because they will."
