Boothroyd t have a look at German goalkeeper Carsten Null. Coventry City are set to give a trial to German goalkeeper Carsten Null as Boothroyd looks for cover and competition for Keiren Westwood. Since Konstantopolous left the club, Boothroyd has been looking for a replacement reserve 'keeper and while the club are in Austria, he has offered a trial to the 28 year old 1860 Munich goal keeper Null. Boothroyd confirmed he and the goal keeping coaches had been looking at Carsten Null saying, “We are looking at a German goalkeeper as a possible No.2 and he has come in and is helping out with the training so I can get a look at him to see if he is at a level we require.” Dutch striker Orlando Smeekes of FC Carl Zeiss Jena is also being working with the squad this week to see if he is worth offering a contract.
