City To Visit Gigg Lane For The First Time Since 1967
City's form at Bury This morning's League Cup draw paired Bury and Coventry City for a First Round tie. The game which is expected to be on Tuesday August 9th, subject to confirmation, will be the 39th time the sides have met. City have won sixteen and drawn seven matches of the previous 38 matches. All of these 38 matches have been Football League games as Coventry City have not played Bury in any form of cup competition. Our last visit to Gigg Lane was for a second division game in February 67 and saw a 1-0 win for the Sky Blues. At Gigg Lane, City have won on five occasions and earned five draws.
