City To Pay Tribute To Local Fallen

Families of local soldiers invited to match Coventry City will remember and pay tribute to local soldiers who lost their lives in Afghanistan in August 2009.As part of a range of events to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Coventry Blitz, the WW2 bombing of Leeds, Armistice Day and conflicts since as well as supporting the current Poppy Appeal, the club have invited the families of Fusilier Shaun Bush, Sergeant Simon Valentine, Fusilier Louis Carter and Lance Corporal James Fullarton from the 2nd Battalion of The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers to attend the game. A military cadet band will play before kick off and the players will come out to a guard of honour from Standard Bearers.
