Pressley To Complain

Coventry City are to file a complaint following the disallowing of a goal just before half-time of their 2-2 draw against Crewe Alexandra on Saturday.

City manager Steven Pressley is quoted by the Coventry Telegraph as saying:“That was an incredible decision and the disappointment for me is that it wasn’t even borderline – we’re talking two yards here when the first shot was taken.

”It was right on the stroke of half-time and we could have taken a 2-1 lead into the break, playing into the wind at the time, and it might have had a bearing on the game.

“I am not one to look to blame officials, far from that. When it’s borderline I can understand it but when it’s two yards it’s very disappointing.

“I think is a bread and butter decision for a linesman and we will put the evidence into the FA, not that it makes any difference to the result.”
