Coventry City stewards,some of whom have given over thirty years service to the club, have been made redundant, according to reports.
Arena Coventry Limited who have been paying their wages, told the stewards at a meeting on Monday night that City would be using stewards employed by Northampton Town FC for their home matches at Sixfields.
The wife of one steward tweeted: "My hubby has just found out tonight that he has been made redundant from being a steward at Coventry city games. Using Northampton stewards.
"The club have had no contact whatsoever with the Coventry stewards. Was left to A.C.L.to sort out."
