Despite losing 2-1 at home to Crewe Alexandra, Coventry City remain eighth in the League One table.

City are now ten points behind the leaders Sheffield United who went top with a 1-0 victory at AFC Bournemouth, whom the Sky Blues travel to on Tuesday night.

City are five points behind seventh placed Brentford who drew 0-0 with Walsall and eight points behind sixth placed Bournemouth.

Swindon have gone second after a 1-1 draw against Preston. Third are Tranmere who won 5-1 at Colchester whilst fourth placed Doncaster drew 1-1 at home to fifth placed Yeovil Town.

Bottom side Portsmouth lost 1-0 at Oldham, second from bottom Hartlepool won 2-1 at Scunthorpe,

Elsewhere, Carlisle drew 1-1 with MK Dons, Crawley won 1-0 at Leyton Orient and Shrewsbury beat Stevenage 2-1.
