There were plenty of shocks in the Second Round of the Johnstones Paint Trophy on Tuesday night.

JPT favourites Wolves were beaten on penalties by Notts County at Molineux after a 0-0 draw, Sheffield United lost 1-0 at home to Hartlepool United, Crawley Town lost 3-2 at home to Newport County, Fleetwood smashed last season's winners Crewe 4-0, Rochdale won 1-0 at Port Vale and Wycombe Wanderers beat Bristol City 2-1.

Former Coventry City star Gary McSheffrey scored the only goal of the game as Chesterfield won their local derby at Mansfield 1-0.

Former City loanee and trialist Zavon Hines scored twice for Dagenham & Redbridge in a 5-2 win at Southend.

Former Coventry midfielder Danny Philliskirk scored for Oldham Athletic in a 2-0 win at Preston North End.
