Two former Coventry City players played for Shamrock Rovers tonight in their 3-1 Europa League defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

Former City keeper David Brush, who was released in 2006 after coming through the youth and reserve team, played in goal in the match at White Hart Lane.

Shamrock, managed by former Sky Blue Michael O'Neill, took the lead in the 50th minute through Stephen Rice but Brush could do nothing to prevent Spurs from scoring three goals in the space of five minutes from Pavlyuchenko (60), Defoe (62) and Dos Santos (65).

Former Coventry City loanee Rohan Ricketts who made six appearances for the Sky Blues in 2004 on loan from Tottenham came on for Rovers as a 72nd minute substitute.
