Former City captain Sammy Clingan played for Michael O'Neill's Northern Ireland in their World Cup Qualifier against Israel in Belfast. Northern Ireland were beaten 2-0.
Craig Bellamy played for Chris Coleman's Wales in the 2-1 defeat to Croatia.
Gary Caldwell played for Gordan Strachan's Scotland in their 2-0 defeat in Serbia.
Micheal Mifsud captained Malta in their 2-0 defeat to Italy. Mario Balotelli got both goals.
