City Old Boys In England U21's Second Draw
City Old Boy News Former Coventry City loanee Jordan Henderson and former City youngster Danny Sturridge were involved in England U21's latest EuroU21 Championship match against Ukraine in Herning. England manager and former Sky Blue Stuart Pearce included the Liverpool midfielder and the Chelsea forward in his starting eleven. It was Sturridge who went closest to opening the scoring when he hit a corker of a shot just past the half hour mark which rattled the crossbar. Sturridge had another shot on target in the 49th minute of what was a turgid game. England were the better side but they could not find a goal to break the deadlock. England play their final group game against the Czech Republic who lost 2-0 to Spain tonight on Sunday.
