Former Coventry City defender Stuart Pearce is favourite to replace Dave Jones who was sacked on Sunday as manager of Sheffield Wednesday.
The Mirror are claiming that 'Wednesday chairman Milan Mandaric has targeted the former England manager, as his No1 choice to put the pride and passion back into a group of underachieving players who have cost Jones his job after 21 months in the Hillsborough hot-seat.'
