Former Coventry City loanee Gary Madine is facing a jail sentence after being found guilty at Leeds Crown Court of one count of grievous bodily harm and one of actual bodily harm in two separate attacks.
Madine was found guilty of causing Reece Hall grievous bodily harm and guilty of inflicting bodily harm on Daniel Beresford in a week-long trial.
The Sheffield Wednesday player, who has not appeared for The Owls this season due to his court case, was cleared by the jury of causing Mr Beresford grievous bodily harm and found not guilty of causing Mr Hall grievous bodily harm with intent.
Judge Rodney Jameson QC is quoted as tellng Madine "You must understand that an immediate custodial sentence is very likely."
The case was adjourned for sentencing reports to be be prepared but no date was sent for the sentencing.
