Coventry City are now joint bottom of the Championship table after the 4-2 defeat to leaders Southampton this afternoon.

City have twelve points from sixteen games, their worst tally for the last since the days of Peter Reid in 2004/5.

They are just ahead of Doncaster Rovers by the better of four goals after Donny's 3-2 win at Ipswich Town.

Bristol City move to third from bottom, ahead of City and Doncaster after a 3-1 home win against Burnley.

Southampton's 11th win of the season, sees them five points clear of West Ham who won 2-0 at Hull City.

Middlesbrough are third after a 1-0 win over Watford with Cardiff who beat sixth placed Crystal Palace 2-0 in fourth.

Blackpool moved up to fifth with a 1-0 win over Millwall.

Elsewhere, Portsmouth beat Nottingham Forest 3-0 and Peterborough beat Derby 3-2,
