City to possibly go for Women's Super League Status

The committee of Coventry City Ladies Football Club are planning to possibly submit an application to become a member of the Women's Super League.

The Women's Super League has its season from March until October and involves having players on standardised contracts but would give the opportunity for Coventry City Ladies players to play against the best players in this country and possibly Europe.

Although there is a long way to go before any bid can ready for submission, Tom Stack said: "I think this is a fantastic opportunity for us to take the next big step forward in our clubs progress and before anyone else says it, we know it won’t be easy.

"We have to pull together a lot of different strands, Finance, Youth set up, Fund Raising Initiatives, Links to other partners and organisations and some more.

"We have, I believe a board and management team that will do everything it can for this club to put together the best application it possibly can."
