Coventry City Ladies went down to a 4-2 defeat to Nottingham Forest in a WPL game this afternoon.

Paul Cudby who was Runner-Up in the FA Coach Of The Year award, rang the changes following last Sunday''s defeat to Barnet and saw Meade fire wide from a fifth minute corner after Sweetman-Kirk at fired at the Forest keeper.

Gauntlett sent a header down and wide from a corner and then drove wide from a right wing Torkildsen cross.

In the 25th minute, Sophie Bradley was first to a corner and was able to get in a close range header to give Forest the lead.

City had their captain Natasha Lynch booked as Forest dominated the play on a warm afternoon at Bedworth United. Four minutes before the interval, Meade sent Andi Bell on her way and the Forest number seven drove the ball past Sue Wood for Forest's second goal.

Forest's passing was a different class to City's and Cudby sent on Kerry Manley for the second half in a bid to strengthen the midfield.

Four minutes in and Forest went further ahead when a free kick was knocked on by a City defender and Suzanne Davis got the last touch to force the ball from close range over the line.

Jade Formaston and Katy Ward came on and Formaston was on the scoresheet when she scored City's first goal in four games with a 69th minute 23 yard curler, following a Ward lay-off.

With fifteen minutes to go, Davis hit the bar with a header from a corner and before Bell hit her second of the game with a powerful looping shot in thr 89th minute.

City responded immediately with Courtney Sweetman Kirk bursting through and beating the keeper but it was Forest who took the win.

City Ladies are at home to Reading next Sunday
