Coventry City Ladies crashed out of the WPL League Cup with a home Second Round defeat to Aston Villa.
At Bedworth United's Oval ground in this much re-arranged affair, it was all City for the opening twenty minutes but Villa took the lead when ex Coventry Centre Of Excellence player Annie Leigh-Stringer floated the ball under the crossbar from 25 yards.
Five minutes before half-time, Villa were two goals when Carly Davies netted.
The second half was tight with Davies scoring again to see the Sky Blues who take on Manchester City in the Womens FA Cup on Sunday, go down to a 3-0 defeat.
