City miss out on defender According to the South Wales Argus, Coventry City had expressed an interest in Paul Bignot who has signed for Blackpool. Bignot lives in Warwickshire, and is the brother of Marcus who has played for Queens Park Rangers and Millwall and now is involved yet again with Birmingham City Ladies. The paper claims that City made a late bid for the Newport County defender who has joined Blackpool for a fee in the region of £100,000 and featured in Blackpool's pre-season game last week against Rangers.
