The 21-year-old centre-half, who played for the England Under-19s in 2007, qualifies for Wales through his grandparents. "I got asked in the pre-season whether I'd consider it and I said I'd consider it," he told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire. "The manager, Brian Flynn, said he'd come and meet me but that hasn't actually happened so I'm not really sure." Turner added: "If I played for Wales I wouldn't want to dwell in the Under-21s. I'd want to kick on and get into that squad."
